The Agro-Allied Services & Business Development division is responsible for the design, planning and execution of sustainable programmes.It is responsible for projects specifically

in the areas of agriculture, agro-allied services, aqua-culture and other Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME) towards achieving socio-economically viable State.

• The Agro-Allied Services & Business Development division is responsible for the design, planning and execution of sustainable programmes and projects specifically in the areas of agriculture, agro-allied services, aqua-culture and other Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME) towards achieving socio-economically viable State.
• Implements initiatives focused on socio-economic development of Rivers State through agro-allied services and related small and medium scale enterprises (SME) business development initiatives such as Songhai, aqua-culture centres etc.
• Monitor, assess and report progress, outcomes and impact of agriculture and agro-allied initiatives, projects and programmes in the communities to internal and external stakeholders as and when required
• Design, plan and implement agro-allied services programmes aimed at speeding-up the creation of sustainable commercial centres in the rural, urban, semi-urban areas of the State (including farms development and management, extension services, integrated processing and storage services)
• Monitor, assess and report progress, outcomes and impact of agriculture and agro-allied initiatives, projects and programmes in the communities to internal and external stakeholders as and when required
• Partner with relevant government agencies and other development partners on joint initiatives and programs focused on building capacity in agro-allied services delivery and small and medium scale enterprises empowerment within Rivers state
• Facilitate integrated research (through liaison with international development agencies) on new trends in agro-allied service delivery including crop production, fish production and farm mechanisation, etc
• Provide business development support to SMEs in the areas of market and trade development, business advisory services and funding models and alternatives
• Liaise with the Technical Services division to identify, generate, conceptualise and select agriculture, agro-allied, SME development type initiatives, projects and programmes for implementation
