Project Concept
They are people with physical disability or impairment especially one that restrict mobility. The emphasis is on physical and not mental disability, hence this group of people can engage in intellectual activities thus migrating from dependence to independence.
Project Scope
- Encourage the physically challenged persons to drive through bespoke training and primarily to become taxi entrepreneurs.
- Improve their standard of living
- Integrate them as important members of the society thereby emphasising their self worth
Project Status
- 10 beneficiaries selected across the State and were given brand new cars
- Beneficiaries underwent one month intensive driving lesson at ACE driving school
- 10 physically challenged hand control driving device is being procured to enhance driving.
