Project Concept

To establish a Workmanship & Technical Training Centre that will improve the quality of artistry skills and workmanship and reduce expensive importation of technical skills to the State and also create employment.

Project Scope

• Train young men and women from Rivers State in various vocations and trades annually

• Demolish existing structures and construct a modern, well-equipped training centre that co-locates with RivPoly (Bori)

• Construct staff housing and students hostels

Project Status

• Five building complexes have been completed, while equipments have been shipped in and ready for you

• Project is expected to be completed and commissioned

• 1st session expected to start May 2012

Expected Impact

• More qualified indigenes of the State available to man key artisan works of the economy

• Reduced youth restiveness

• Better opportunities to demonstrate high potentials
